Jamie Hamilton is a singer-songwriter/producer from Darwen, Lancashire. His self-released 2013 EP, “Roots”, caught the ear of BBC Radio 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and he has since gone on to receive the support of several other radio stations (Amazing Radio, BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio Lancashire) as well as having music featured on prime-time TV shows including Hollyoaks and Emmerdale.
In 2014, Jamie supported the likes of Aquilo and Rae Morris following the release of his debut album, “Circles”. This year, he has already released a double A-side, “Past Midnight / Emily, settling” to critical acclaim and plans to release an EP later on in the year.

‘Circles’, Jamie Hamilton’s debut album, is out now. Disillusioned with the sparse arrangements and formulaic folk-pop sound favoured by a growing number of singer-songwriters, he set out to contrast his picked acoustic guitar and layered vocal harmonies against an electronic backdrop, enlisting the help of artist and fellow Sunbird Records musician Jonathan Lindley to aid in shaping the sound/design of the album.
