I make acoustic guitar music which is a mixture of folk and soul with songwriting somewhere in-between Fink and Laura Marling with touches of Mumford and Sons, the ambience of Bon Iver and the vocal brush of The Fleet Foxes, Patrick Watson and Ray Lamontagne.

I’m originally from Nottingham and now share my time between Nottingham, London and Stoke-On-Trent. For the last year I have been writing with new artists on the scene while working on my own debut album. I have enjoyed writing with artists such as Liam Bailey. Liam had a top ten single ‘Blind Faith’ with Chase and Status in 2011. I wrote ‘It’s Not the Same’ with him which was no 1 in the playlist of one of LAs biggest radio stations KCRW over Christmas. Zane Lowe commented that he ‘loved’ it and that it was ‘proper, modern soul’. Live I’ve been gallivanting at venues such as the Half Moon, The Rhythm Factory supporting Pete Doherty, The Bedford, the Electro Acoustic Club and the Borderline. BBC radio 6’s Tom Robinson was nice enough to say that one of my songs was ‘absolutely gorgeous’ and said it was good enough to sit easily on a ‘Ray Lamontagne’ album.
